We would like to congratulate Manuel Christian for being March’s Student of the Month.
TOURNAMENT TIME
Regional Workout
There will be a regional workout on Saturday, March 13th at Lake Norman Taekwondo America. This will be for all students who are signed up for the March Tournament (this is also the last day that you can order a tournament t-shirt). This will be a great way for everyone to get ready for the upcoming tournament and meet other students from our region. This workout is mandatory for all instructor’s and there will be an instructor’s meeting immediately following the workout.

Tournament Clinic
We will be having a tournament clinic on March 20th at our Mt. Pleasant location. This is for all students who are going to the tournament. The clinic will start at 11am for kids and 12 for adults.
Regional Tournament
After traveling to Dallas, TX in January for the National Tournament, we are very excited that the March Tournament is back in our region. Everyone should attend tournaments as well all know, but when they are this close there is no excuse not to go. Each age group and rank will have their own division, so no matter what age or belt you are, there will be a division for you. The tournament will be held on March 27th in Raleigh, NC. Be sure to fill out a registration form next class.
Are Tournaments For Me?
Every student should attend tournaments. As we all know, competition brings out the best in everyone, and that is what the overall goal of Taekwondo is, to be the best you can be. Most people don’t go to tournaments because they don’t think that they are ready. We still strongly encourage these people to go, mainly because they are usually wrong. Even if you don’t win, you WILL have fun, and you WILL learn something. I can’t think of a better way to improve your Taekwondo skills than tournaments.
There are two ways to compete at a tournament, sparring and forms. If you are a white through yellow belt, you will be doing one-step sparring and your form. If you are an orange belt, you will be doing sparring combinations and your form. If you are a green belt and above, you will be tournament free-sparring for points, and your form.
